Description
The City of Raleigh is soliciting a single-prime construction contractor to repair fire-damaged areas at the Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center. Work includes selective demolition and replacement of roofing assemblies, TPO and PVC membrane roofing, cover boards, insulation, air and vapor retarders, flashing, sheet metal, wall sheathing, cold-formed steel framing, damaged structural steel beams and roof deck, joint firestopping, sealants, exterior painting, and related concrete repairs. The plumbing scope includes inspection, cleaning, repair or replacement of damaged primary and overflow roof drains, storm drainage piping, fittings, hangers, supports, and accessories, including five damaged area drains. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, traffic and pedestrian controls, temporary protection, and coordination necessary to keep the occupied facility operational during construction. The project is to be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work, provide a 5% bid guaranty, and furnish 100% payment and performance bonds if the base bid exceeds $300,000 or if otherwise required by the City. The bid must be submitted on the provided Bid Proposal Form as one sealed original paper copy; email and fax submissions are not accepted.
