Description
Rockford School District 205 is soliciting bids for the Jefferson High School re-roofing project at 4145 Samuelson Road, Rockford, Illinois. The work includes full tear-off of existing roofing systems and installation of new fully adhered R30 thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing over concrete, metal, and fiber-panel roof decks. The total roof replacement area is approximately 136,510 square feet. Related work includes roof deck preparation, tapered insulation, vapor retarders, substrate boards, sheet-metal flashing and trim, roof expansion joints, roof hatches with safety railings, roof ladders, roof-drain basket replacement, walkway pads, equipment supports, selective demolition, exterior painting, and replacement of clerestory storefront windows as separately identified breakout pricing. The building will remain occupied during construction, and the contractor must coordinate work, protect occupants and existing systems, maintain watertight conditions, and comply with prevailing-wage, bonding, insurance, safety, and school-site access requirements.
