Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting a price quote for installation and repair of a thermoplastic polyolefin roofing system at the Caltrans Vidal Maintenance Station in San Bernardino County. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, permits, disposal, travel, and incidentals. The scope includes installing approximately 3,350 square feet of 80-mil TPO roofing over an existing metal roof, 170 linear feet of rain gutters, insulation, cover board, flashings, roof accessories, drainage corrections, and related repairs. The work must include watertight heat-welded seams, manufacturer-compatible materials, inspection, cleanup, and applicable warranties. The opportunity is restricted to a certified California small business, microbusiness, small business for public works, or disabled veteran business enterprise, and requires a current C-39 Roofing Contractor license and Department of Industrial Relations registration. Subcontracting is prohibited. The quote must include the price quote proposal and required certifications and declarations. The total quote may not exceed $484,000; a payment bond equal to 100% of the contract amount is required after award when the bid exceeds $25,000. The estimated agreement period is November 10, 2026, through September 30, 2027, subject to approval.
