Description
Parks Canada Agency requires removal and disposal of existing asphalt shingles and associated roofing materials, followed by the supply and installation of complete 24-gauge mechanically seamed, double-lock standing-seam metal roofing systems with painted finishes, matching ridge vents and caps, and Class A fire-rated assemblies. The work covers the Compound Rescon Roof, approximately 700 square metres, and the Law Enforcement Shed. Related work includes replacement or adjustment of flashings, trims, ridge caps, fascia, gutters, downspouts, sealants, roof-penetration flashing, underlayment, ice-and-water shield, snow and ice retention guards, hardware, and deteriorated roof sheathing where required. The contractor must also provide debris removal and recycling or disposal, shop drawings and product submittals, a construction schedule, safety management plan, colour options or samples, and a ten-year ARCA roofing-system warranty. The solicitation includes mandatory qualifications for two recent commercial standing-seam roofing replacement projects valued at least $75,000 each, professional resumes for a project or construction manager and site superintendent, a bid security submission, an Indigenous Participation Plan, and a completed Bid and Acceptance Form. The bid uses a two-submission procedure: qualifications, Indigenous Participation Plan, bid security, and related documents in Submission 1; and the Bid and Acceptance Form in Submission 2. Work must be completed by February 1, 2027.
