Description
Johnston County is soliciting proposals for the complete deconstruction and removal of two abandoned double-wide manufactured homes: one at 757 B Clayton Road in Angier and one at 123 Sam Lane in Wilson's Mills. The selected contractor must provide permits, labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and all services necessary to remove each structure and associated materials. The scope includes recycling metals and other recyclable materials; proper management of mercury thermostats, fluorescent lights, and asbestos if present; debris removal and transport to a certified landfill or recycling center; and leveling, compacting, or filling disturbed areas, followed by seasonal seeding and straw. Proposals must include separate pricing for each site and a combined price for both sites, along with firm qualifications, assigned personnel, equipment details, work approach and schedule, similar-project references, litigation and contract-completion disclosures, required licenses and certifications, and the completed bid form and proposal page. Attendance at both scheduled site visits is required. The contract requires applicable permits, insurance, licensing, compliance with laws, and completion within 20 consecutive calendar days after commencement at each site.
