Description
The City of Portland, Maine, is soliciting bids for replacement of the membrane roofing system at Reiche Community School. Work includes selective removal of existing membrane roofing, flashings, expansion joints, support legs, ductwork, roof-edge metal, and temporary paver ballast; temporary support of rooftop equipment and utilities; and installation of new roofing materials, flashings, air/vapor retarders, insulation, cover board, and roof-edge metal to create a weather-tight roof system. The contractor must also restore rooftop equipment, piping, conduits, refrigerant piping, and ductwork to permanent supports; provide new supports for gas piping where indicated; and paint gas piping as specified. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory, and only firms represented at that meeting may submit bids.
