Description
The City of Raleigh is seeking multiple qualified, licensed contractors to provide as-needed emergency and scheduled repair, installation, diagnostic, and troubleshooting services for backup power generation and related electrical systems. Covered equipment includes diesel, propane, and natural-gas generator units; generator controls and monitoring panels; automatic transfer switches; battery systems and chargers; fuel delivery systems; exhaust, ventilation, and cooling systems; and generator-related switchgear and distribution panels. Services will support water and wastewater treatment plants, pump and lift stations, odor-control sites, booster pump stations, and elevated and ground-level storage facilities. Contractors must furnish labor, tools, equipment, testing instruments, materials, transportation, and supervision. The scope includes 24/7/365 emergency support, technician response within two hours for emergency calls, response to non-emergency requests within 24 hours, scheduled repairs, OEM-recommended diagnostics, root-cause analysis, itemized repair estimates, and temporary-generator coordination when needed. Technicians must be trained and certified for the applicable generator brands, and work must comply with applicable electrical, safety, environmental, and site-specific requirements. The solicitation anticipates multiple as-needed contracts for up to five years, with no guaranteed quantity or expenditure.
