Wake County is soliciting a single-prime general contractor for Phase 1 construction at Lake Myra County Park. The scope includes east and west parcel playgrounds, a park center, maintenance facility, shelters, well house and wastewater treatment system, site and utility work, grading, erosion control, paving, landscaping, trails, retaining walls, boardwalks, bridge structures, lighting, security and telecommunications infrastructure, fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and photovoltaic systems. The base scope excludes Boardwalk A, boating access, and the fishing pier; these are listed as alternates. The bid proposal form includes three alternates, unit prices, allowances totaling at least $690,000, and a $250,000 project contingency allowance. The contract time is stated as 540 days. Addendum No. 4 is the final addendum and supersedes the structural sheets issued in Addendum No. 3, revises site-furnishing requirements for Boardwalk A, specifies chain-link fencing materials, assigns the contractor responsibility for a fully functional wastewater treatment and disposal system and cellular alarm service, and confirms that the owner will provide third-party testing. Site-furnishing requirements include benches, picnic tables, bicycle racks, trash and recycling receptacles, water-play equipment, a grill, a viewer scope, and a backless bench.
