Description
The University of North Alabama is rebidding a reroofing project at Powell School. Qualified general contractors must submit sealed proposals using the proposal forms furnished by the architect. A bid bond or cashier’s check payable to the University, in an amount of at least 5% of the proposal and no more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance are required at contract signing, not with the bid. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory for contractors intending to submit a bid. Bidders must display a current Alabama general contractor’s license number on the outside of the sealed envelope when required by the state licensing threshold. The bid documents are available through the architect’s digital plan room and may also be examined at its office; hard-copy sets are available for purchase by general contractors.
