Description
Loudoun County Public Schools is soliciting bids from prequalified contractors for the complete replacement of the existing roofing system at John W. Tolbert Elementary School. The work includes removal of the existing roof system down to the deck; installation of a fully adhered 90-mil white EPDM membrane over two layers of rigid insulation; tapered insulation for positive drainage; membrane and sheet-metal flashing; perimeter copings and edge metal; roof drains and inserts; roof hatches, ladders, guardrails, walkway pads, skylights, vent and equipment flashings; brick and through-wall flashing repairs; and associated demolition, protection, cleanup, and restoration. Alternate No. 1 requests pricing for black 90-mil EPDM in lieu of white EPDM. Unit prices are required for metal roof deck replacement, brick repair or replacement, roof drain replacement, and through-wall flashing. Bids must be submitted electronically through the LCPS Electronic Bidding System. A five-percent bid bond or certified check is required, and the successful contractor must provide 100-percent performance and payment bonds. The bid package requires the completed bid forms, bid security, contractor qualification information, contractor license documentation, and other certifications and supporting information identified below.
