Description
Loudoun County Public Schools is soliciting construction bids from prequalified contractors for the complete reroofing of Seldens Landing Elementary School. The work includes removal of the existing roof assemblies down to the deck; installation of a fully adhered, white 90-mil EPDM roofing system over two layers of rigid insulation; tapered insulation for positive drainage; membrane and sheet-metal flashing; perimeter copings and edge metal; roof drains and accessories; roof ladders and hatch improvements; skylight replacement; masonry and through-wall flashing repairs; and associated demolition, protection, cleanup, and restoration. An alternate requests black 90-mil EPDM in lieu of white EPDM, and unit prices are required for metal roof deck replacement, brick repair or replacement, roof drain replacement, and through-wall flashing. Only the five firms identified in the solicitation as prequalified may submit bids. The project is a single stipulated-sum contract. Bids must include the required electronic bid forms, unit prices, alternates, bid security, contractor qualification information, Virginia contractor licensing information, and other required certifications and attachments. The successful contractor must provide 100-percent performance and payment bonds, comply with the specified insurance and warranty requirements, and complete substantial completion by August 1, 2027, with final completion by August 8, 2027.
