Description
The City of Detroit is soliciting proposals from authorized Duro-Last contractors for replacement of approximately 40,000 square feet of roofing at the Construction and Demolition Department’s Huber Street facility. The work includes assessment and engineering, permits, ballast removal, installation of a 40-mil white Duro-Last roof system, flashing, drains, walkway pads, fascia, pitch pans, debris removal, safety, supervision, project management, progress reporting, and closeout documentation. An alternate requests removal of all roofing material to the existing insulation deck and installation of a new single insulation layer and roof system. The contractor must provide a preliminary schedule, technical approach, staffing and capacity information, pricing, and required affidavits and certifications. The installation must include 15-year manufacturer labor and materials warranties and the Duro-Last Bullet Proof Warranty. The contract term is two years, and the successful respondent must furnish payment and performance bonds each equal to 100% of the contract value.
