Description
Western Piedmont Community College is soliciting a contractor to replace the roof on its C Building. The work includes removing rock, tearing off the existing membrane and edge metal, inspecting and repairing wet or damaged insulation, tapering insulation toward drains, installing 1/2-inch inorganic polyiso roof board, installing a new 60-mil PVC or TPO membrane, reinstalling rock, replacing drain inserts, and installing new metal edging and flashing. The contractor must follow manufacturer requirements, provide a 20-year warranty and a 2-year workmanship warranty, secure the roof against weather at the end of each workday, remove or dispose of materials and trash daily, and obtain any required permits. The proposal must include pricing for complete performance, including applicable handling, transportation, administrative, and similar charges. A mandatory pre-proposal site visit is required, and the award is expected to be based on the lowest bid meeting the specifications.
