Description
Wake County Public School System seeks qualified firms to provide a comprehensive HVAC maintenance and repair program for 25 schools in its down-county regional service center area. The scope includes inspections, quarterly preventive maintenance, filter changes, repairs, service calls, seasonal inspections, troubleshooting, equipment replacement when needed, and maintenance of systems including heat pumps, split systems, air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps, controls, variable frequency drives, cooling towers, VRF systems, rooftop units, and related HVAC equipment. Additional services may include walk-in coolers and freezers, commercial ice machines, and controls. The contractor must provide appropriately staffed and trained technicians, including at least four full-time journeyman-level mechanical personnel and at least two master-level service employees. Emergency service must be available around the clock, with a callback within 30 minutes and on-site response within two hours; routine repairs must generally be completed within one working day. The proposal must address the required scope, staffing, references, pricing, equipment summary, maintenance schedule, terms and conditions, ethics requirements, and other specified attachments. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability where applicable, and workers' compensation, with additional coverage requirements depending on the services performed.
