Description
Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is soliciting sealed bids for the Building 3900 roof replacement project at Chabot College. The work includes removal and disposal of existing roofing, insulation, and flashings; inspection and preparation of the roof deck; installation of crickets, adhered two-inch isocyanurate insulation, approved one-quarter-inch coverboard, and fully adhered 80-mil fleece-backed thermoplastic membrane roofing; installation of approximately 500 linear feet of walk pads; and replacement or installation of perimeter, penetration, curb, and equipment flashings. The scope also includes waterproofing and coating of designated HVAC units, ducting, and gutter interiors; odor-control measures at air intakes; selective demolition; and removal, disposal, encapsulation, or replacement of lead-containing paint on metal counter flashing in accordance with the project's lead-remediation requirements. Bidders must hold an applicable California contractor license classification, be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations for public works, attend the mandatory pre-bid job walk, and submit the required bid forms, bid security, subcontractor information, qualifications, certifications, and affidavits. The project requires a five-year contractor guarantee and a 30-year no-dollar-limit manufacturer roofing warranty. Addendum 01 provides an engineer's estimate of $755,200, based on 18,880 square feet at $40 per square foot, and revises the weather-day schedule guidance.
