Description
The City of Hanford is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, transportation, and incidentals for roofing replacement at the Veterans Memorial Building, City Hall, and the storefront building. The work includes removal and lawful disposal of existing roofing, roof-deck inspection and repairs, low-slope WeatherWeld or approved-equal roofing systems, steep-slope asphalt shingles where applicable, flashing, sheet-metal, drainage, penetration, waterproofing, reflective coatings, temporary protection, cleanup, and closeout documentation. The project also includes asbestos and lead-related hazardous-materials abatement, containment, monitoring, employee protection, notifications, cleanup, and disposal as required by the applicable reports and law. Addenda 8 and 9 add City Hall HVAC condensate drain replacement using Type L copper piping, supports, testing, and roof-interface coordination; revise the bid schedule; add storefront roof-deck allowance; and revise Additive Alternate 5 to one 10-ton packaged rooftop HVAC unit at the Veterans Building. Bidders must price all base-bid items and additive alternates using the revised bid schedule. The base bid is evaluated on a lump-sum basis, with a 30-calendar-day period from the Notice to Proceed to substantial completion. The project requires prevailing-wage and certified-payroll compliance, contractor licensing, insurance, a 10% bid guarantee, 100% performance and labor-and-material bonds, and electronic submission through the designated portal. The bid must acknowledge all issued addenda, and the revised bid deadline is October 27, 2026.
