Description
Fresno County is soliciting a single vendor to provide cremation services for the Sheriff's Office, with an estimated 150 cremations annually. The scope includes transporting decedents from the morgue, cremating decedents within legally required timeframes, providing suitable containers, preparing and filing required death certificates and permits, and supplying pre-printed cremation authorization forms. Additional services include body storage, pickup within three business days after receipt of required documentation, scattering cremains when authorized by the Coroner, shipment of cremains and proof of delivery, scattering certificates, shipment verification for National Cemetery placement, detailed billing, and acceptance of abandoned decedents after County authorization. The quotation schedule includes separate pricing for adults, oversized decedents, children, infants, stillborn decedents, urns, scattering, shipment, hospital pickup, and storage. Bidders must submit the completed quotation schedule, a sample General Price List, required licenses and permits, a reference list with at least five similar customers, and other specified bid forms and acknowledgments. The agreement is intended for one year with up to four additional one-year renewals.
