Description
The City of Fresno is soliciting bids for pavement rehabilitation at five locations: Shields-Van Ness-Brown-Palm Block; First Street from Shaw Avenue to Barstow Avenue; Santa Ana-Fourth-Gettysburg-First Block; Sierra-Fourth-Escalon-First Block; and Cedar Avenue from Tulare Street to SR-180. The work includes asphalt concrete grinding and overlays, isolated full-depth reconstruction, roadway excavation, aggregate base, curb ramp and sidewalk reconstruction, curb and gutter repairs, detectable warning devices, driveway and valley gutter improvements, traffic striping and signage, traffic signal loop replacement, and adjustment of water valves and manholes to finished grade. The construction allocation is $6,450,000. The project has a 120-working-day completion period from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day. Bidders must hold a valid California Class A or C-12 contractor's license, submit a 10% bid deposit, and provide 100% payment and performance bonds. The project is subject to the City's Community Workforce Agreement, local hiring and apprenticeship best-faith requirements, prevailing-wage requirements, and mandatory use of the City's construction management information system. A valid Statement of Qualifications, bid proposal, contractor license information, subcontractor list, required certifications and declarations, local-preference certification if applicable, PLA agreement to be bound, signature page, and addenda acknowledgments are required with the bid.
