Description
The City of Fresno is soliciting bids for sewer rehabilitation in the area bounded by Clinton, Fruit, McKinley, and West Avenues. The work includes removing and replacing portions of existing sewer mains, installing cured-in-place pipe liners, performing point repairs, replacing or modifying manholes, connecting and extending service connections, abandoning sewer mains, and completing associated traffic control, wastewater bypass, sewer cleaning, trench resurfacing, slurry sealing, and related facilities and operations. The construction allocation is $14,050,000. The project has a 170-working-day completion period from the Notice to Proceed and requires a valid California Class A contractor's license. Bidders must submit the required bid forms, a 10% bid deposit, subcontractor information, applicable local-preference certification, and Community Workforce Agreement documentation. Payment and performance bonds are required after award at 100% of the contract price for contracts under $10 million and 110% for contracts of $10 million or more. The contractor must also maintain specified commercial general liability, automobile, workers' compensation/employer's liability, builders risk when applicable, and contractors' pollution liability insurance.
