Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for as-needed evidence-impound towing, skilled recovery, scene cleanup, transportation, and secure storage of impounded vehicles and property. Services must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, at various locations within the Central Division Area Office geographical region, which primarily covers specified portions of Fresno County. The contractor must provide the required labor, equipment, towing vehicles, secure storage facility, and supervision. The resulting agreement is anticipated to run from May 1, 2027, through April 30, 2030, with a budgetary limit of $110,000. The contractor must meet towing, storage, licensing, driver-training, facility-security, response, inspection, reporting, insurance, and CHP rotation-tow-provider requirements. The bidder must perform at least 75% of the work and may subcontract no more than 25%. The procurement is awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost. The DVBE participation requirement is waived, although eligible DVBE participation may receive an incentive.
