Description
The State of California Department of General Services is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of the roof and evaporative cooler units at California Highway Patrol Fleet Operations in West Sacramento. The work includes selective demolition; lead-based paint abatement and disposal; standing-seam metal roofing, flashing, trim, roof accessories, and fall protection; custom direct evaporative coolers; HVAC piping, ductwork, controls, testing, and balancing; electrical and communications systems; and temporary protection and fencing. A California contractor’s license classification B is required. The successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. The estimated project cost is $5,060,700, and the project term is 308 calendar days. Attendance at the mandatory prebid site inspection is required for bid eligibility, and bidders must arrange security clearance in advance to enter the facility.
