Description
The City of Sacramento, Department of Community Response, is seeking motel and hotel operators in Sacramento County to participate in the Emergency Sheltering Voucher (ESV) Program for families experiencing homelessness. Participating properties will accept City-issued vouchers valued at $55 per room per night, inclusive of taxes and fees, and invoice the City monthly; rates must be proposed for all room types and maintained throughout the agreement. Rates above $55 may be considered, with guests responsible for the difference. Eligible properties must maintain industry-standard safety, security, conduct, and property-management policies; be in good standing with applicable authorities; be ADA-accessible; provide furnished rooms, maid and room services, and standard room cleanings; comply with nondiscrimination requirements and program guidelines; and cooperate with City-provided supportive and rehousing services. Proposals are evaluated on daily rate, property information and amenities, photographs demonstrating safe and sanitary conditions, and proximity to vital services. The submission must include a signed transmittal letter, property and room details, proposed rates, applicable motel policies, and the specified City forms.
