Description
The City of Sacramento is soliciting sealed paper bids for construction of the Site 144 Trash Capture Project at the I-80 North Ditch. The work includes furnishing and installing a Water Board-certified, prefabricated trash capture system designed to capture trash 5 millimeters and larger, a stainless-steel slide gate, a mechanically operated bending weir and counterweight system, a 6-inch inline check valve, access hatches, manhole covers, ladder rungs, bar screens, and safety guardrails. The construction scope also includes demolition and replacement of portions of the concrete-lined channel, reinforced concrete structures, excavation and earthwork, water control and temporary flow diversion, asphalt concrete paving for an operations and maintenance area and access road, chain-link fencing and gates, removable bollards, seeding and planting, erosion and sediment control, and temporary bike-path and traffic control. The engineer's estimate is $2,000,000, the project duration is 200 working days from the Notice to Proceed, and the bid requires a 10% bid bond. Bidders must submit three similar public-agency projects completed within the last five years, meet the 5% Local Business Enterprise participation requirement, and hold an active California Class A General Engineering Contractor license.
