Description
The Town of Apex is requesting professional transportation planning services for a Mobility Solutions Study focused primarily on older adults and people with disabilities, while also considering low-income households, youth, and other residents with unmet mobility needs. The selected firm will analyze existing mobility barriers through quantitative and qualitative data collection, identify gaps, research and compare potential projects, programs, policies, partnerships, and initiatives, and develop tailored short- and long-term recommendations. The scope includes project administration, existing-conditions mapping, surveys, interviews and focus groups, stakeholder and public engagement, visualizations, process documentation, and an implementation and funding plan. Anticipated deliverables include an Apex-specific unmet-mobility-needs analysis, options and cost information, a study document in PDF and editable formats, a public engagement plan and summary, web content, and ArcGIS file geodatabases and GIS packages. The study is to be completed and approved within nine months after notice to proceed. Proposals are limited to 15 pages, excluding an optional cover page, and must include firm qualifications, project approach, personnel, schedule, and at least three similar projects completed by the proposed project manager within the last seven years.
