Description
The District of Tofino is seeking a qualified planning, land use, and development consulting firm to conduct a Housing Readiness Zoning Review and develop a Housing-Supportive Bylaw Framework. The work will examine the District’s Zoning Bylaw and related development regulations to identify barriers, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve housing readiness. The successful consultant will provide strategic planning, regulatory review, facilitation, and technical advisory services to support future housing-supportive zoning amendments, improve regulatory clarity, reduce barriers to housing development, and maintain alignment with local planning objectives and provincial housing requirements. The project is supported by a $100,000 grant under the Local Government Development Approvals Program.
