Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks recurring comprehensive water sample collection and testing services for water used in the processing of critical and semi-critical reusable medical devices. The contractor must perform monthly, quarterly, annual ionic-characteristic, and non-routine or retesting services at specified critical-water, utility-water, steam-condensate, and storage-tank locations, in accordance with the latest AAMI ST108 standard and applicable Veterans Health Administration requirements. The contractor must provide all personnel, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, sample containers, laboratory testing, and electronic reports of results and deficiencies. The laboratory must hold environmental microbiology accreditation from a nationally recognized accrediting body, perform each referenced test at least 50 times annually, maintain current calibration validation for testing equipment, provide three years of calibration records, and ensure testing personnel are trained to AAMI ST108. The procurement is a firm-fixed-price contract with a base year and four option years. Quotes must include technical capability information, completed limitations-on-subcontracting certification, pricing for each period, laboratory accreditation and calibration records, and recent and relevant past-performance questionnaires.
