Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking a small-business contractor under a firm-fixed-price contract to remove the existing Liebert DS Precision Cooling CRAC unit, model DS035ADA00I280A, and furnish, install, configure, calibrate, test, and commission a replacement unit rated at 35 kW (10 tons) with 480-volt input. The work includes integration with the existing Liebert AC4 Auto-Changeover Controller, connection to existing building systems, safe disposal of the existing equipment, and coordination of delivery, staging, floor-jack movement, access through existing openings, condenser handling, dust mitigation, and active-data-center work. The amendment states that a factory-certified refurbished unit may be considered if it has at least 10 years of remaining service life and a one-year warranty from startup. The preferred refrigerant is 454B or R-32 (A2L), with a global warming potential below 700; required environmental conditions include 68–74°F room temperature, 25–45% humidity, and specified subfloor and room pressure ranges. Amendment 0002 extends the offer deadline to September 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time, limits the technical response to five pages, provides equipment-access and data-center operating requirements, and states that the period of performance is October 1 through December 1, 2026, subject to adjustment if needed. The total small-business set-aside, technical qualifications submission, price proposal, payment and performance bonds, and liability insurance requirements remain in effect.
