Description
The United States Air Force Academy is seeking one brand-name Quantel Q-Smart 850 excitation laser for an existing Edinburgh Instruments LP980 spectrometer. The laser must be a one-nanosecond Q-switched Nd:YAG system compatible with LP980 software and provide minimum pulse energies of 850 mJ at 1064 nm, 430 mJ at 532 nm, and 230 mJ at 355 nm, with an 8–10 mm beam diameter, 10 Hz repetition rate, and 3–6 ns pulse duration. The system must include detachable temperature-stabilized harmonic-generation modules with automatic phase matching, wavelength-separation optics, a beam dump, beam attenuator, flashlamp with a 100-million-shot warranty, two replacement sets for flashlamp and water filters, water-to-air cooling, 110 V operation, and shipping. Quotes must identify the required brand-name product, include firm-fixed pricing with shipping, technical documentation demonstrating compliance, authorized-source documentation, the Buy American–FTA–BOPP certificate, and a proposed delivery schedule. The government intends to make a single firm-fixed-price purchase order to the lowest-priced technically acceptable and responsible quoter.
