Description
The City of Brighton is soliciting proposals for the complete replacement of an existing banner system with two full-color, free-programmable LED variable message signs serving eastbound and westbound traffic. The work includes furnishing and installing caissons, foundations, poles, mast arms, control cabinets, communications equipment, power supplies, and all associated hardware. The contractor must remove and dispose of the existing system; install electrical service and fiber communications by directional boring; provide traffic control compliant with City standards and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices; and complete system testing, integration, commissioning, training, and verification. Deliverables include fully operational signs, as-built documentation, manufacturer warranties, a minimum 30-day continuous-operation burn-in period, and at least four hours of operator and maintenance training. The proposal must include qualifications and similar-project experience, key-personnel resumes, an organizational chart, equipment and fleet information, project approach, schedule, fee schedule, work-in-progress information, safety information, and the required City forms and certifications.
