Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is seeking sequencing services for PRNP genotyping under its chronic wasting disease project. The contractor must provide high-volume Sanger sequencing, next-generation sequencing, and Nanopore sequencing, using custom-designed oligos supplied with samples. Required performance includes at least 99% accuracy and a minimum 97% success rate for Sanger applications, overnight turnaround for tube orders or two to three days for large orders, full AB1 file delivery, quality scores for every sample, and capacity to sequence the PRNP locus and other genomic regions of interest. The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed-price requirements contract with one one-year base period and two one-year option periods, for a total duration not exceeding three years.
