Description
The U.S. Forest Service’s National Technology and Development Program, Wildland Fire Chemical Systems Laboratory, is seeking ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation support for 15 to 17 Standard Test Plans covering long-term fire retardants, Class A foams, and water enhancers/gels. The contractor will review the test plans and laboratory documentation, evaluate eligibility for accreditation, assess laboratory staff and procedures, and provide an itemized schedule of audit actions, estimated duration, and cost. The work includes training, consultation, technical review, an on-site review and audit of the laboratory’s quality-control and quality-assurance processes, a final evaluation report, and monthly written progress reports. Performance will occur at the contractor’s facilities and during an on-site evaluation at the government laboratory. The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed-price purchase order with an 18-month period of performance, and the quotation must include both a Technical Plan and a Price Quote.
