Description
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials to demolish and legally dispose of the existing front counter, back-wall casework, and carpeted countertops on the current ski desks, then design, fabricate, deliver, and install a new L-shaped front counter and a three-tiered, 16-foot back-wall storage system. The front counter must include 29-inch-deep solid-surface acrylic worktops, two elevated reception caps, a 30-inch ADA-accessible section, lockable base cabinetry, open inventory shelving, and a safe-storage area. The back-wall system must include lockable base cabinets and lateral files, a whiteboard tier, and anchored open storage shelving. Two Wintersteiger Adjustment Desk 75 Classic ski desks, or approved equals, are included as a preferred contractor-furnished item that the Government may delete if unavailable. The work also includes a dedicated 20-amp, 120-volt circuit, functional receptacles, and four Cat6 data drops for POS stations and ski desks. Plumbing and sinks are excluded, waterfall countertop profiles are prohibited, and flooring within the footprint uncovered by demolition is not the contractor’s responsibility; only damage directly caused by the contractor must be repaired. Work must be completed in one continuous phase within 60 calendar days after notice to proceed, during standard weekday hours unless otherwise approved, with OSHA and wage-determination compliance, site protection, daily cleanup, and final punch-list correction. Required proposal contents are a cover page, a technical volume addressing demolition, counter design and materials, and back-wall storage, and a pricing volume with total installed cost, materials, equipment, labor categories, labor hours, and three CLIN prices. The contractor must also submit design concepts, color samples, load-rating data, and ski-desk specifications before ordering or fabrication.
