Description
Brookhaven Science Associates, the operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory, is seeking laboratories to provide chemical, microbiological, and radiochemical analytical services supporting environmental monitoring, environmental sampling, and waste characterization. The anticipated requirement includes three service areas: limited radiological analysis, limited non-radiological analysis, and full-service analysis covering all samples, including waste samples. Offerors must maintain applicable New York State Department of Health Environmental Laboratory Approval Program certifications; laboratories analyzing waste samples must also hold National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program certification and State of Utah certification. The scope includes supplying sample containers and related sampling materials, receiving and tracking samples through chain-of-custody procedures, performing analyses under specified EPA, state, and radiochemical methods, providing quality-control documentation, and delivering complete PDF and electronic data packages in the required formats. The draft materials include extensive requirements for analytical methods, detection limits, calibration, validation, data qualifiers, sample storage and disposal, turnaround times, invoices, and environmental information management system deliverables. This is a presolicitation notice rather than an active solicitation, and the requirement is described as a follow-on to existing subcontracts.
