Description
Wake County is soliciting bids for single-prime general construction renovations at East Raleigh EMS Station 7, NC State EMS Station 8, and Wake Forest EMS Station 10. The scope includes demolition, architectural finishes, flooring and carpet tile, painting, doors and frames, millwork, lockers, shelving, furnishings, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, communications, security, fire protection, and related construction work. The revised bid proposal form requires listings for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical subcontractors, and includes allowances for data/voice, security, signage, owner contingency, and cellular booster design and installation. Addendum No. 1 replaces the original bid proposal form with a revised form dated August 27, 2026; the revised form must be used and receipt of the addendum must be acknowledged. It also revises the carpet tile basis of design to Mohawk Group Expedition II, Lithosphere II (GT376), Ravine (965), and replaces several demolition and finish drawings. A 5% bid bond is required, and the proposal must remain valid for 60 days. The mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 19, 2026, followed by a non-mandatory station open house on August 21, 2026.
