The City of Raleigh is seeking one or more qualified, licensed contractors to provide as-needed emergency and scheduled repair, installation, diagnostic, and troubleshooting services for existing backup power generation and related electrical systems supporting Raleigh Water facilities. Covered systems include diesel, propane, and natural-gas generator units; generator controls and monitoring panels; automatic transfer switches; battery systems and chargers; fuel delivery systems; exhaust, ventilation, and cooling systems; and generator-related switchgear and distribution panels. The work is not for new construction and may include temporary generator coordination when needed. Contractors must furnish labor, tools, equipment, testing instruments, materials, transportation, and supervision. Emergency support must be available 24/7/365, with a technician onsite within two hours of an emergency call; non-emergency requests require an availability response within 24 hours. Scheduled work generally occurs during standard business hours, with other scheduling coordinated as needed. Contractors must provide itemized estimates before work begins, use OEM or OEM-approved parts, comply with applicable safety and environmental requirements, and submit the required Environmental Management System acknowledgment. The City guarantees no minimum quantity of work or expenditures and may award one or more contracts for up to five years.
