Description
Defence Construction Canada is establishing an Open Construction Source List for contractors and suppliers providing commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and civil construction services required by the Department of National Defence at CFB Borden and satellite sites in Meaford, Owen Sound, and Barrie. The list will support competitive tenders with estimated values of $10 million or less and will remain in effect for three fiscal years, from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2029. Applicants may request placement at any time, but applications are preferred by March 4, 2026, and require approximately ten business days to process. Applications must be submitted electronically through MERX, include the applicant’s preferred official language, and require an active MERX account; mailed, faxed, and emailed submissions are not accepted. Contractors on the prior source list must re-apply. Future tenders may include Indigenous-business set-asides, additional prequalification requirements, site meetings, and organization or personnel security requirements, including potentially Secret-level facility and document safeguarding requirements.
