Description
The City of Raleigh is soliciting sealed bids from prequalified subcontractors for multiple construction packages for Phase 2 of the John Chavis Memorial Park Master Plan. The project includes a new two-story, approximately 25,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor aquatic center with competition and therapy pools, an activity pool, lazy river, water recreation area, and two-story waterslide. The work also includes approximately five acres of site development; civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and site utility systems; parking reconfiguration; Heritage Plaza upgrades and public art installation; repairs to an existing stone bridge; and new South Park Heritage Trail connections. Bid Day 1 packages include general trades, concrete, masonry, structural and miscellaneous steel, millwork, roofing, metal panels, doors and hardware, glazing, drywall, tile, flooring, ceilings, painting, specialties, identification devices, lockers, caulking and waterproofing, and final cleaning. Bidders must be prequalified and licensed as required by North Carolina law. A five-percent bid security is required with each bid.
