Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals to lease approximately 2,375 net usable square feet for a Driver's License Office in Johnston County, with a preference for Clayton. The proposed space must support office operations, customer and employee parking, accessible restrooms, telecommunications and LAN rooms, security systems, signage, HVAC, electrical, lighting, and other building-code and accessibility requirements. A 100-by-20-foot paved area for motorcycle testing is also required. The lessor is responsible for required partitions, doors, upfit and construction work, building and grounds maintenance, repairs, utilities and janitorial services if included in the proposal, and related operating costs. Proposers must submit a floor plan and completed lease proposal information, including rental rates, lease term, renewal options, parking, utilities, and service inclusions. The initial lease term is expected to be 5 to 10 years, with renewal options desired; possession is required by December 1, 2026, or as soon thereafter as possible.
