Description
The City of Raleigh, North Carolina, is soliciting bids for the Greenway Pedestrian Structures Repairs & Replacements project. The project involves the repair and replacement of five pedestrian bridge structures (Structures 6, 7, 17, 102, and 103) along the city's greenway system. The Base Bid includes replacing the existing timber decking on Structures #102 and #103 with Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) decking. Alternate 1 involves replacing the existing timber structures #6 and #7 with prefabricated fiberglass truss bridges. Alternate 2 involves replacing Structure #17 with timber glu-lam beams and timber decking, while Alternate 3 involves replacing Structure #17 with steel framing and FRP decking. The project also includes demolition of existing structures, removal of abutments, and installation of new railings. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, and bids are due by September 29, 2026.
