Description
The City of Iowa City is seeking multiple vendors to provide on-call hauling services for rock, aggregate, waste grit sludge, debris, excavated material, and other materials. Services may include transportation between quarries, City facilities, job sites, disposal facilities, and other locations designated by the City. Vendors must provide labor, equipment, fuel, maintenance, supervision, and incidentals; dump trucks must have a minimum capacity of seven cubic yards. Work will be requested as needed, with no guaranteed minimum quantity, and may include per-ton rock and sludge hauling or hourly debris and miscellaneous hauling. The City will load trucks at designated pickup locations, while vendors are responsible for transportation, unloading, and applicable waste disposal fees. The initial contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Vendors may use subcontractors with the City's prior written consent but remain fully responsible for their performance. No bid bond or security is required. Insurance is required, including general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation coverage. The bid must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave, including completed pricing, required vendor information, three references, and a signed Wage Theft Affidavit; any approved exceptions or deviations must be identified as specified in the bid system.
