Description
The City of Tiffin is seeking statements of qualifications from qualified architectural and engineering firms to evaluate two city-owned sites for a potential new fire station. The initial work includes assessing site suitability, zoning, utilities, geotechnical and environmental considerations, traffic and emergency access, development constraints, expansion opportunities, preliminary costs, and the operational needs of the Fire Department. The selected firm will provide a written site comparison and recommendation, facility programming, conceptual plans, and preliminary cost information. If authorized by the City, subsequent services may include architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, communications, landscape, surveying, geotechnical coordination, permitting, construction documents, bidding assistance, construction administration, construction observation, and project closeout. Responding firms must demonstrate relevant public-sector and fire station or comparable public-safety facility experience, appropriately licensed Iowa professionals, qualified multidisciplinary personnel, at least three relevant projects from the last five to seven years, at least three comparable-project references, and the ability to coordinate stakeholders, schedules, and cost estimates. Statements of qualifications are limited to 25 pages, excluding resumes, project sheets, and required forms, and must be submitted electronically in PDF format.
