RFP/27/027 Encampment Cleanup per the specifications provided by the City of Lansing. The City of Lansing will accept proposals at The City of Lansing, Purchasing Office, 124 W. Michigan Ave. 3rd Floor, Lansing, Michigan 48933 or electronically submitted thru MITN Site (www.Mitn.Info) until 2PM local time in effect on Sept. 24, 2026. Description
The City of Lansing is seeking a qualified contractor to provide complete encampment cleanup services at park properties and public spaces within the city. The scope includes all labor and equipment needed to remove trash, junk, deteriorated appliances, furniture, tents, carts, garbage, feces, tires, lumber, building materials, and other debris as directed by the Parks and Recreation and Public Service departments. The contractor must provide hauling and disposal at an approved landfill, respond to work orders within five business days, investigate each site before performing work, and provide date-stamped before-and-after photographs for each work order. Required capabilities include a dump-capacity truck holding at least five cubic yards, a bobcat or comparable front-end loader with trailer, a date-and-time-stamping digital camera, trained personnel, and appropriate personal protective equipment. Proposals must describe the firm's organization, experience, qualifications, understanding of the work, approach, staffing, on-call capabilities, and available equipment, and must include required insurance documentation. The contract is for one year with options to extend for up to two additional years; pricing is based on hourly rates for crews of two to four workers.
