Description
The University of Iowa is seeking a comprehensive aquatic sports technology solution for its natatorium, including new swimming timing equipment, diving scoring and event-management software, relay break detection, water polo timing and scoring equipment, displays and related hardware. The scope includes permanent and mobile components, integration with Daktronics, Streamline Tech, broadcast and television systems, installation, commissioning, testing, training, documentation, warranty, maintenance, software updates, technical support, and on-site support during the first competitive event after implementation. The replacement is urgent because the existing system has reached end of life and can no longer be serviced, repaired, supported, or upgraded. The proposal must address system design, equipment specifications, implementation schedules, project risks, lifecycle support, pricing and total cost of ownership, sustainability, customer service, and relevant experience. Suppliers must provide audited financial statements and annual reports for the previous two years, detailed pricing and specifications, images and other information from past projects, and at least three references from national-level USA Swimming events. The system must support one- and two-pool eight-lane 25-yard configurations and an eight-lane 50-meter configuration, comply with applicable NCAA, USA Swimming, World Aquatics, USA Diving, and water polo standards, and include installation, training, and first-meet support.
