Description
The City of East Palo Alto is seeking professional street sweeping services for residential, light commercial, major arterial, and heavy-traffic streets. The scope includes scheduled sweeping, curb and gutter cleaning, collection and transportation of debris to an approved disposal location, daily and monthly reporting, dust control, equipment maintenance, and provision of primary and backup sweepers and trained drivers. The estimated routine workload is 114.66 center-line miles per month, with approximately 650 tons of debris collected annually. The contractor must also provide unscheduled sweeping, emergency response within two hours of notification, emergency debris cleanup, and additional removal services as requested. The agreement is anticipated to be a not-to-exceed, per-task contract, with pricing for routine sweeping, unscheduled service, emergency service, and emergency debris removal. Proposals must address firm qualifications, relevant municipal experience, work plan, innovations, staffing, equipment, exceptions, and costs; at least five years of street sweeping experience is required. Work is scheduled to commence January 1, 2027.
