Description
The City of Ecorse is soliciting contractors to provide as-needed scheduled and emergency tree trimming, tree removal, stump removal, and brush clearing services, including labor, equipment, traffic control, cleanup, debris disposal, and restoration of disturbed areas. Work includes maintaining 14-foot clearance over streets and alleys and 8-foot clearance over sidewalks, crown cleaning and raising, tree and stump removals, and brush clearing. Routine work must commence within 15 days of notification, while emergency work must commence within four hours. Contractors must provide qualified arboricultural personnel, including an ISA Certified Arborist and/or Certified Tree Worker on site, and comply with ANSI Z133, ANSI A300, and applicable 2020 Michigan Department of Transportation specifications. The contract is firm and binding for two years, with possible extensions by mutual agreement and contract modification. Pricing is requested for hourly scheduled and emergency services and unit-price tree and stump removals. Proposals must include the City-provided proposal form, company qualifications, equipment information, municipal experience, three references for similar contracts performed during the previous year, a safety plan, and sample proof of insurance. Each bid must include a $2,500 cashier's-check bid guarantee; a bid bond will not be accepted. The selected contractor must furnish a $25,000 performance bond upon contract execution.
