Description
The University of Iowa is seeking qualified suppliers to provide as-needed telecommunications skilled labor supporting its ITS and health-care communications infrastructure. Work may include moves, adds, and changes; troubleshooting; repairs; installations; relocations; upgrades; maintenance; testing; documentation; and related construction activities for voice, data, communications cabling, network connectivity, telecommunications rooms, pathways, outlets, wireless access points, and end-user devices. The scope includes copper and fiber-optic cabling but excludes configuration, administration, maintenance, or repair of telephone switches, network switches, and other active network electronics unless specifically authorized. Suppliers must provide qualified personnel, tools, equipment, project-management processes, safety and quality-control programs, service-request response capabilities, outage-mitigation procedures, and documentation practices. Responses must address technical qualifications, staffing and certifications, comparable experience, three references, customer service, service delivery, quality assurance, safety, technical capabilities, capacity, transition planning, value-added services, and pricing for regular, overtime, weekend/holiday labor and material markup. The intended term is one year, with four additional one-year extensions by mutual written agreement; multiple awards may be made.
