Description
Letcher County Fiscal Court is soliciting bids for emergency removal and disposal of downed trees from waterways at several locations affected by flooding. The work includes cutting eligible debris at the waterway, removing only the portion within the waterway, hauling it to the Letcher County Transfer Station, restoring any property or infrastructure disturbed by the work, and providing traffic control and safe operations in accordance with OSHA standards. The contractor must supply and obtain county approval for all equipment, secure applicable Kentucky Division of Water permits and other required approvals, obtain right-of-entry documentation for private property, and provide required before-and-after GPS- and date-stamped photographs for each pay item. Bidders must submit unit pricing for tree-removal categories based on diameter and length, as well as mobilization/demobilization and traffic control. The electronic submission must include the required portal certifications, proof of active SAM registration, insurance documentation, three references, a contractor capacity and experience statement, and a drug-free workplace policy. General and professional liability coverage are required upon submission; the solicitation also requests information for commercial auto and workers’ compensation coverage.
