Description
The City of Arvada is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or organizations to establish a mutually agreeable lease of a 1.83-acre parcel adjacent to Majestic View Nature Center and Community Park for agricultural and agricultural-related uses compatible with limited site infrastructure. Potential uses include market gardens, cut flower production, herb cultivation, native seed production, pollinator habitat, small-scale community-supported agriculture, orchards, berry production, educational demonstration gardens, seedling production, regenerative agriculture, agritourism, and edible forest systems. The lessee will be responsible for site management, including weed control, soil health, irrigation, pathway and fencing maintenance, and compliance with City regulations. A mandatory educational component and collaboration with the Majestic View Nature Center are required. The lease has an initial three-year term with two optional three-year renewals; no lease fee is charged, but the lessee must pay water at the metered rate. Proposals must be submitted electronically as one PDF file through BidNetDirect.com.
