Description

The City of Wheat Ridge is seeking a qualified contractor to construct a new four-way traffic signal at the intersection of West 44th Avenue and Tabor Street. The scope includes traffic signal-light steel and aluminum pedestal poles, mast arms, signal faces, pedestrian countdown signals and push buttons, a controller and cabinet, fire preemption, Miovision intersection detection, telemetry, fiber-optic testing, an Ethernet switch, LED luminaires, electrical conduit and wiring, and a traffic-surveillance camera. The work also includes removal and replacement of roadway, sidewalk, curb, gutter, curb ramps, median cover, asphalt, signs, and drainage components; installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps, concrete sidewalk, pavement markings, signage, utility-related improvements, erosion and landscape restoration, construction surveying, mobilization, and traffic control. The contractor must submit a completed electronic bid through OpenGov, a five-percent digital bid bond, the required qualification and certification forms, subcontractor information, and the proposal and pricing schedule. Performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract price, are required after award for work exceeding $50,000.
