Description
The City and County of Denver is soliciting bids for a master purchase order covering the supply and transportation of the City's actual natural gas requirements. The contractor must provide both firm and interruptible gas, deliver it to the City Gate through the Xcel Energy transportation system, and support seasonal pricing, optional fixed-price locks, nominations, balancing, scheduling, capacity, and emergency 24-hour service. The estimated 2025 consumption was 833,689 dekatherms across numerous City and County facilities, with quantities subject to actual needs. The contractor must also provide monthly PDF invoices and Excel billing spreadsheets, usage and savings analyses, transportation and capacity documentation, interruption and operational-flow-order support, and assistance with utility and pipeline coordination. The bid requires evidence of relevant Xcel Energy transportation experience, capacity to serve at least 500,000 dekatherms annually, a qualifying corporate credit rating, references, company and personnel information, pricing, and other certifications and attestations. The resulting master purchase order is stated to run through December 31, 2029, with possible renewals not extending beyond December 31, 2031.
